Un terrible incendio arrasó el pub Na Ladprao en el centro de Bangkok, Thailandia. 

A massive fire tore through the Na Ladprao pub in central Bangkok, Thailand. The blaze broke out a few hours ago, killing at least 27 people and injuring dozens more before firefighters managed to bring the flames under control, authorities reported.

El siniestro se produjo hace unas horas ocasionando la muerte de al menos 27 personas y dejando decenas de heridos antes de que los bomberos lograran controlar las llamas, informaron las autoridades.

El primer ministro de Tailandia, Anutin Charnvirakul, confirmó al Consorcio Internacional de Periodistas JMH que 27 personas habían fallecido. Señaló que la causa del incendio está bajo investigación.

Anutin relató que un músico que actuaba en el pub le contó haber visto humo saliendo de un cuadro eléctrico cerca del escenario antes de que se cortara la electricidad; posteriormente se escuchó una explosión y el local se llenó rápidamente de un humo denso.

Muchas de las víctimas fueron halladas en los baños, situados en la parte trasera del pub, añadió Anutin.

El gobernador de Bangkok, Chadchart Sittipunt, informó que 63 personas fueron trasladadas al hospital, 22 de ellas en estado crítico. Indicó que las autoridades trabajan en la identificación de las víctimas, ya que muchas no llevaban documentos de identidad.

Thai official Anutin Charnvirakul confirmed to the JMH International Consortium of Journalists that 27 people had died. He noted that the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Anutin recounted that a musician performing at the pub said he saw smoke coming from an electrical panel near the stage before the power cut out; subsequently, an explosion was heard, and the venue quickly filled with thick smoke.

Many of the victims were found in the restrooms, located at the back of the pub, Anutin added.

Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt reported that 63 people were taken to the hospital, 22 of them in critical condition. He indicated that authorities are working to identify the victims, as many were not carrying identification documents.
