Canadian national Kaitlyn Tracey, 33, has been taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and transferred to the Delaney Hall detention facility in Newark after being accused of assaulting a teenage girl in Jersey Shore because she was wearing clothing bearing the "Make America Great Again" (MAGA) slogan.

According to police, Tracey recorded herself confronting two teenage girls wearing sweatpants in patriotic U.S. colors during the Fourth of July holiday weekend in Point Pleasant. Investigators allege she struck one of the girls in the face and body during the confrontation.

Tracey was arrested on Monday and has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child, simple assault, harassment and obstruction of justice.

Authorities said she had been living with her partner in Asbury Park since entering the United States on a Canadian passport in 2024.

Kaitlyn fue trasladada al centro de detención de Delaney Hall, en Newark, luego de ser acusada de agredir a una adolescente en Jersey Shore por vestir prendas con el lema "Make America Great Again" (MAGA).

Según informó la policía, Tracey se grabó mientras confrontaba a dos adolescentes que vestían pantalones deportivos con los colores patrióticos de Estados Unidos durante el fin de semana del 4 de julio en Point Pleasant. Durante el incidente, presuntamente golpeó en el rostro y el cuerpo a una de las menores.

La mujer fue arrestada el lunes y enfrenta cargos por poner en peligro el bienestar de un menor, agresión simple, acoso y obstrucción de la justicia.

De acuerdo con la investigación, Tracey residía con su pareja en Asbury Park desde su ingreso a Estados Unidos en 2024 con pasaporte canadiense.

カナダ国籍のケイトリン・トレイシー容疑者（33）は、MAGA（「Make America Great Again」）のスローガンが入った衣服を着用していた少女に暴行を加えたとして、米国移民・関税執行局（ICE）に拘束され、ニュージャージー州ニューアークのデラニー・ホール拘置施設へ移送された。

警察によると、トレイシー容疑者は、7月4日の独立記念日の連休中にポイント・プレザントで、米国の愛国的な色合いのスウェットパンツを着用していた2人の少女に詰め寄る様子を自ら撮影していた。その際、少女の1人の顔や身体を殴打した疑いが持たれている。

同容疑者は月曜日に逮捕され、未成年者の福祉を危険にさらした罪、単純暴行、嫌がらせ、および司法妨害の罪で起訴された。

捜査当局によると、トレイシー容疑者は2024年にカナダのパスポートで米国へ入国して以来、アズベリー・パークでパートナーと同居していた。
