El Parlamento de Francia aprobó de manera definitiva un proyecto de ley destinado a proteger a los menores de los riesgos asociados al uso de las redes sociales, cuya disposición central prohíbe el acceso a estas plataformas a los menores de 15 años.
France's Parliament has given final approval to legislation aimed at protecting minors from the risks associated with social media, with its key provision banning children under the age of 15 from accessing social networking platforms.
El texto, integrado por un número reducido de artículos, establece que "se prohíbe el acceso a un servicio de redes sociales en línea prestado por una plataforma digital a los menores de quince años". La disposición alcanza a plataformas como Facebook, Instagram y TikTok, entre otras.
La iniciativa también amplía la prohibición del uso de teléfonos móviles a los institutos de enseñanza secundaria (liceos), extendiendo las restricciones que ya se aplicaban en las escuelas primarias y en los colegios de enseñanza media (collèges). No obstante, la normativa permite que cada establecimiento educativo contemple excepciones a través de su reglamento interno.

France's Parliament has given final approval to legislation aimed at protecting minors from the risks associated with social media, with its key provision banning children under the age of 15 from accessing social networking platforms.
The measure makes France the first European country to adopt a nationwide ban of this scope on social media access for minors under 15.
The legislation, consisting of only a few articles, states that "access to an online social networking service provided by a digital platform shall be prohibited for minors under the age of fifteen." The provision applies to platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, among others.
The bill also extends the ban on mobile phone use to upper secondary schools (lycées), expanding restrictions already in force in primary schools and lower secondary schools (collèges). However, individual schools will be allowed to establish exceptions under their internal regulations.

フランス議会は、未成年者をソーシャルメディア利用に伴うリスクから保護することを目的とした法案を最終承認した。法案の柱となる規定では、15歳未満の未成年者によるソーシャルメディアへのアクセスを禁止している。
この法律の成立により、フランスは15歳未満の未成年者によるソーシャルメディア利用を全国レベルで禁止する制度を導入した最初の欧州諸国となる。
法案は少数の条文で構成されており、「デジタル・プラットフォームが提供するオンライン・ソーシャルメディア・サービスへの15歳未満の未成年者のアクセスを禁止する」と規定している。この措置は、Facebook、Instagram、TikTokなどの主要なソーシャルメディア・プラットフォームを対象としている。
また、この法案は携帯電話の使用禁止措置を高等学校（リセ）にも拡大する。これにより、すでに小学校および中学校（コレージュ）で実施されている規制が高等学校にも適用されることになる。ただし、各学校は校内規則に基づき、一定の例外を設けることができる。
