La ciudadana canadiense Kaitlyn Tracey, de 33 años, fue detenida por agentes del Servicio de Inmigración y Control de Aduanas de Estados Unidos (ICE) y trasladada al centro de detención de Delaney Hall, en Newark, luego de ser acusada de agredir a una adolescente en la zona de Jersey Shore por vestir prendas con el lema "Make America Great Again" (MAGA).

On July 16, a video surfaced showing Tracey striking a teenage girl across the face with a forceful slap. The footage also appears to show her attempting to continue the assault, but the smaller victim manages to avoid further blows by walking away.

Este 16 de julio se difundió un video en el que se observa a la detenida Kaitlyn Tracey propinándole una fuerte bofetada en el rostro a una adolescente. En las imágenes también se aprecia que intenta continuar con la agresión, aunque la víctima, de menor contextura física, logra evitar nuevos golpes al alejarse del lugar.

Según informó la policía, Tracey se grabó mientras confrontaba a dos adolescentes que llevaban pantalones deportivos con los colores patrióticos de Estados Unidos durante el fin de semana del 4 de julio en Point Pleasant. Durante el incidente, presuntamente golpeó en el rostro y el cuerpo a una de las menores.

La mujer fue arrestada el lunes y enfrenta cargos por poner en peligro el bienestar de un menor, agresión simple, acoso y obstrucción de la justicia.

De acuerdo con la investigación, Tracey residía con su pareja en Asbury Park desde su ingreso a Estados Unidos en 2024 con pasaporte canadiense.

Canadian national Kaitlyn Tracey, 33, has been taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and transferred to the Delaney Hall detention facility in Newark after being accused of assaulting a teenage girl in the Jersey Shore area for wearing clothing bearing the "Make America Great Again" (MAGA) slogan.

On July 16, a video surfaced showing Tracey striking a teenage girl across the face with a forceful slap. The footage also appears to show her attempting to continue the assault, but the smaller victim manages to avoid further blows by walking away.

According to police, Tracey recorded herself confronting two teenage girls wearing sweatpants decorated with the patriotic colors of the United States during the Fourth of July weekend in Point Pleasant. During the incident, she allegedly struck one of the minors in the face and body.

Tracey was arrested on Monday and is facing charges of endangering the welfare of a child, simple assault, harassment, and obstruction of justice.

Investigators said Tracey had been living with her partner in Asbury Park since entering the United States in 2024 using a Canadian passport.

警察によると、トレイシー容疑者は、7月4日の独立記念日の週末にポイント・プレザントで、米国の愛国的な色彩のスウェットパンツを着用していた2人の少女に詰め寄る様子を自ら撮影していた。事件の際、容疑者はそのうち1人の少女の顔や体を殴ったとされている。

トレイシー容疑者は月曜日に逮捕され、未成年者の福祉を危険にさらした罪、暴行罪、嫌がらせ、および司法妨害の罪で訴追されている。

捜査当局によると、トレイシー容疑者は2024年にカナダの旅券で米国へ入国して以来、パートナーとともにニュージャージー州アズベリー・パークに居住していた。
