شنّت إيران سلسلة من الهجمات ضد أهداف مرتبطة بالولايات المتحدة في عدة دول بمنطقة الخليج العربي، مما أدى إلى تصعيد التوترات الإقليمية في أعقاب غارات جوية أمريكية حديثة، وذلك وفقاً لما ذكره مسؤولون إيرانيون وحكومات إقليمية.
وحذّر رئيس البرلمان الإيراني ومفاوض النظام، محمد باقر قاليباف، من أن طهران سترد على أي عمل عسكري تقوم به واشنطن. وصرح قائلاً: "إذا هاجمتم، فسنرد"، مؤكداً أن إيران تدرك تماماً النقاط الاستراتيجية التي يمكنها توجيه ضربات انتقامية إليها.
ووفقاً للمعلومات التي كشفت عنها السلطات الإيرانية، شملت التدابير الانتقامية هجمات استهدفت أنظمة صواريخ "باتريوت" الأمريكية المنتشرة في الكويت، ومنشآت لتخزين الوقود في البحرين، وهوائياً للأقمار الصناعية في قطر.
وأفادت حكومات قطر والكويت والبحرين بأن أنظمتها الدفاعية اعترضت طائرات مسيرة إيرانية، كما أدانت هذه الأعمال العسكرية، محذرة من أن هذا التصعيد الجديد يهدد بإعادة حالة عدم الاستقرار إلى واحدة من أكثر مناطق العالم حساسية.
ويأتي هذا الهجوم بعد يوم واحد من إعلان الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب إنهاء المفاوضات الخاصة بمذكرة تفاهم مع إيران. ومع ذلك، فقد صرح بعد ساعات بأن طهران "ترغب في التوصل إلى اتفاق"، مما أبقى الباب مفتوحاً أمام استئناف الحوار.
وقد تصدرت الأزمة مع إيران المشهد خلال مشاركة ترامب في قمة حلف شمال الأطلسي (الناتو) الأخيرة، حيث انتقد حلفاءه في الحلف، معتبراً أن الدعم المقدم للاستراتيجية العسكرية الأمريكية غير كافٍ.

Iran launched a series of attacks against U.S.-linked targets in several Persian Gulf countries, escalating regional tensions following recent U.S. airstrikes, according to Iranian officials and regional governments.
Iranian Parliament Speaker and regime negotiator Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf warned that Tehran would respond to any military action by Washington. "If you attack, we will strike back," he declared, asserting that Iran is aware of the strategic points where it can retaliate.
According to information released by Iranian authorities, the retaliatory measures included attacks targeting U.S.-deployed Patriot missile systems in Kuwait, fuel storage facilities in Bahrain, and a satellite antenna in Qatar.
The governments of Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain reported that their defense systems intercepted Iranian drones and condemned the military actions, warning that this new escalation threatens to bring instability back to one of the world's most sensitive regions.
The offensive comes a day after U.S. President Donald Trump announced the end of negotiations for a memorandum of understanding with Iran. Hours later, however, he stated that Tehran "wants to reach a deal," leaving the door open for a resumption of dialogue.
The crisis with Iran took center stage during Trump's participation in the recent NATO summit, where he criticized Atlantic Alliance allies, deeming the support provided for the U.S. military strategy insufficient.
