Millionaire influencers and entrepreneurs Andrew and Tristan Tate have been arrested in Miami as part of extradition proceedings related to allegations of rape and human trafficking being pursued by authorities in the United Kingdom.

The UK's Crown Prosecution Service announced on Saturday that it had requested the brothers' extradition to face allegations of rape and trafficking involving several women between 2010 and 2017. Several alleged British victims have publicly identified themselves, while others have chosen to proceed through legal representatives in order to protect their identities.

Both men, who hold U.S. and British citizenship, relocated to Romania in 2016. They were arrested there in 2022 on allegations of participating in an organized scheme to recruit women for sexual exploitation. The brothers denied all allegations, and the Romanian proceedings did not result in a conviction.

Andrew and Tristan Tate are expected to appear before a federal court in Miami in the coming days to be formally notified of the United Kingdom's extradition request.

Andrew Tate has amassed more than 10 million followers on X but was previously banned from platforms including YouTube, TikTok and Instagram for violating their policies on hate speech.

La Fiscalía británica informó este sábado que solicitó la extradición de los hermanos para que respondan por acusaciones de haber violado y traficado con mujeres entre 2010 y 2017. Las presuntas víctimas británicas son varias; algunas hicieron públicas sus denuncias, mientras que otras optaron por actuar a través de representantes legales para preservar su identidad.

Ambos, ciudadanos de Estados Unidos y del Reino Unido, se radicaron en Rumania en 2016. Allí fueron detenidos en 2022 bajo sospecha de integrar una organización dedicada a captar mujeres con fines de explotación sexual. 著名なインフルエンサーで実業家のアンドリュー・テイト氏とトリスタン・テイト氏が、英国で進められている強姦および人身売買の疑いに関する事件をめぐる身柄引き渡し手続きの一環として、米フロリダ州マイアミで逮捕された。

英国検察当局は18日、2010年から2017年にかけて複数の女性に対する強姦および人身売買の疑いで両氏の引き渡しを正式に求めたと発表した。英国人の被害申告者は複数おり、一部は実名で名乗り出ている一方、身元保護のため代理人を通じて手続きを進めている人もいる。

米国と英国の二重国籍を持つ両氏は2016年にルーマニアへ移住した。2022年には性的搾取を目的として女性を勧誘する組織的な計画に関与した疑いで現地当局に逮捕されたが、両氏はすべての容疑を否認し、ルーマニアでの手続きは有罪判決には至らなかった。

両氏は今後数日以内にマイアミの連邦裁判所へ出廷し、英国当局による身柄引き渡し請求について正式な通知を受ける見通しである。
