In Madrid, the wave of knife and machete attacks seems unstoppable. Early this morning, Saturday, May 9, 2026, two young men, aged 18 and 25, are in serious condition after being stabbed in two separate incidents, one in the Usera neighborhood and the other in Carabanchel.
Carabanchel:
The first attack occurred in Carabanchel around 3:00 a.m. at number 31 Camino Viejo de Leganés. Emergency medical personnel from SAMUR-Civil Protection were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report of an 18-year-old being stabbed.
Emergency teams treated a young man with a penetrating wound to his left chest and stabilized him before transporting him in serious condition to the 12 de Octubre Hospital. He is an 18-year-old foreign male, and the investigation into the incident is not ruling out any hypothesis, including the possibility of a conflict between youth gangs, according to police sources who spoke to the International Consortium of Journalists JMH.
Usera:
The second attack occurred around 5:40 a.m. in Usera, near number 62 on Antonio Salvador Street. Paramedics from Samur-Civil Protection treated the 25-year-old victim, who had a head wound and another on his back.
After being stabilized at the scene, the young man, a Spanish national, was transferred in serious condition to the 12 de Octubre Hospital.
The National Police have taken charge of the investigation, and Municipal Police officers assisted in the operation.
In fact, police sources have reported that initial indications suggest the altercation may have stemmed from an argument at a nearby nightclub. A National Police officer was injured while trying to separate the parties involved. More to come

En Madrid la locura por los ataques con cuchillos y machetes parece no detenerse. La madrugada de hoy, sábado 9 de mayo de 2026, se ha saldado con dos jóvenes de 18 y 25 años que se encuentran graves, tras ser apuñalados en dos incidentes distintos, uno en el barrio de Usera y otro en Carabanchel, la madrugada de este sábado en Madrid.
Carabanchel:
El primero ataque ocurrió en Carabanchel en torno a las 03:00 horas, en el número 31 del Camino Viejo de Leganés, hasta donde se han desplazado efectivos de Samur-Protección Civil tras recibir un aviso de apuñalamiento de un joven de 18 años.
Los equipos de emergencias han atendido a un joven que presentaba un herida "penetrante" en el hemitórax izquierdo y lo han estabilizado para después trasladarlo en estado grave al Hospital 12 de Octubre.
Es un varón extranjero de 18 años, y las investigaciones en torno a lo sucedido no descartan ninguna hipótesis, ni siquiera la posibilidad de que se trate de un conflicto entre bandas juveniles, según confiaron fuentes policiales al Consorcio Internacional de Periodistas JMH.

El segundo ataque ocurrió sobre las 05:40 horas en Usera, a la altura del número 62 de la calle Antonio Salvador. Sanitarios de Samur-Protección Civil atendieron a la víctima, de 25 años, que presentaba una herida en la cabeza y otra en la espalda.
Tras ser estabilizado en el lugar, el joven, español, ha sido trasladado con pronóstico grave al Hospital 12 de Octubre.
Policía Nacional se ha hecho cargo de la investigación de lo ocurrido y agentes de Policía Municipal han colaborado en la intervención.
De hecho, fuentes policiales han informado de que los primeros indicios apuntan a que el altercado podría haber ser producido tras una discusión en una discoteca cercana. Un agente de la Policía Nacional ha resultado herido al tratar de separar a las partes.
