El presidente José Antonio Kast expresó su repudio por el ataque. “Un colegio no puede ser un lugar de violencia. He instruido a las ministras de Educación y Seguridad a viajar al norte para liderar la respuesta de este grave hecho”, sostuvo el mandatario en X.

Testigos de la terrible tragedia manifestaron a Bullying Sin Fronteras que un alumno de cuarto año, de 18 años de edad, atacó con un cuchillo de grandes dimensiones a compañeros y a dos inspectoras del establecimiento.
Fuentes de los Carabineros de Chile manifestaron a BSF que “a la llegada del personal policial, el individuo fue reducido y detenido”.
La mujer asesinada era inspectora del establecimiento y tenía 59 años de edad. Recibió al menos tres puñaladas mortales.
La ministra de Seguridad, Trinidad Steinert, informó que una de las víctimas sufrió lesiones graves y su estado es crítico.
Asimismo, indicó que el agresor tiene 18 años y que el Estado interpondrá “las querellas respectivas para que se haga efectiva la responsabilidad penal” por los delitos de homicidio e intento de homicidio. El individuo, agregó, portaba además otros “elementos cortantes y tenía un gas pimienta”.
“Somos conscientes del impacto que esta tragedia genera en todas y cada una de las personas que forman parte de esta familia educativa”, expresó la escuela en un mensaje a los afectados. “Los convocamos a sobrellevar unidos esta desgracia que nos golpea y enluta”.

President José Antonio Kast expressed his outrage at the attack. “A school cannot be a place of violence. I have instructed the Ministers of Education and Security to travel to the north to lead the response to this serious incident,” the president stated on X.
What happened in Chile?
Witnesses to the terrible tragedy told Bullying Without Borders that an 18-year-old fourth-year student attacked classmates and two female staff members with a large knife.
Sources from the Chilean Carabineros told BSF that “upon the arrival of police personnel, the individual was subdued and arrested.”
The murdered woman was a staff member at the school and was 59 years old. He received at least three fatal stab wounds.
Security Minister Trinidad Steinert reported that one of the victims suffered serious injuries and is in critical condition.
She also indicated that the assailant is 18 years old and that the State will file “the corresponding legal complaints to ensure criminal responsibility” for the crimes of homicide and attempted homicide. The individual, she added, was also carrying other “sharp objects and pepper spray.”
“We are aware of the impact this tragedy has on each and every person who is part of this educational community,” the school stated in a message to those affected. “We urge you to stand together and face this tragedy that has struck and saddened us.”
