A nivel mundial, uno de cada tres estudiantes (33%) ha sido víctima de acoso escolar, y el 10% ha sufrido ciberacoso. En países como España, Estados Unidos, México, Alemania y Brasil la incidencia es de hasta 6 cada 10, con nivel similar en ciberacoso.

Estados Unidos vive en la actualidad un proceso amplio de deportación de personas que están en situación ilegal en el país. Ese acontecimiento se ha convertido como el motivo más duro del bullying en los niveles primario y secundario e incluso universitario.
Preguntas tales como: ¿qué hacés aquí si eres ilegal? ¿Por qué no te marchas a tu país?
¿Quieres que te denuncie al ICE?
Son situaciones diarias que se multiplican en casi todas las escuelas públicas y privadas de los Estados Unidos, desde los primeros años hasta la preparatoria.
Siguen como motivos de bullying, el bajo rendimiento en los deportes, el bajo nivel escolar, el alto nivel escolar, el bajo nivel social, la forma de vestirse y la ascendencia latinoamericana de niños y adolescentes.
El acoso escolar las 24 horas del día los 365 días del año:
El acoso escolar o bullying no termina en la escuela, también llega en forma de ciberbullying, a través de las redes sociales, en especial las '4 Tóxicas'; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram y WhatsApp, que guardan un implacable silencio sobre reclamos y denuncias.
• 200.000 niños y adolescentes pierden la vida cada año a consecuencia del bullying y el ciberbullying en todo el mundo.
¿Por qué sigue creciendo el bullying en Estados Unidos?
A los venenos que nutren el bullying y lo vuelven letal: la soledad, la tristeza y el miedo, descubiertos y señalados por BSF, se le unen:
1 - La falta de compañerismo en las aulas.
Cada vez es más difícil tener clases homogéneas donde todos participan. La norma es que haya grupos y de esos grupos salen ataques hacia otros grupos y hacia aquellos que han quedado fuera.
2 - Influencers, retos virales y otros.
Las redes sociales contribuyen al bullying y el ciberbullying.
Los influencers y su forma de vida publicada en redes sociales; desde peinados a ropa, contribuyen al acoso escolar porque no todos los chicos y chicas los consideran como modelos a seguir. De ese modo se forman grupos, una vez más.
Los retos virales, peligrosos e inútiles, invaden las aulas de todo el mundo y producen heridos y muertos en números escalofriantes.
Cada vez hay menos diálogo entre los niños y entre los adolescentes en edad escolar. Todo es pantalla e inmediatez.
3 - Falta de compromiso en directivos y docentes:
La docencia no es solo enseñar a sumar y a leer, que también es importante. Es crear espacios para mirar a la cara a los chicos de la clase, notar si algo anda mal y en ese momento poner un freno.
4 - Padres de acosadores que festejan la violencia de sus hijos.
La cultura de festejar el bullying de los chicos acosadores por parte de sus padres, sigue siendo un terrible problema.
5 - Un estado con poco espacio para luchar contra el bullying.
6 - Pseudo asociaciones financiadas por grandes empresas que tapan los casos de bullying para dar una falsa sensación de tranquilidad y seguridad.
ASÍ LO HICIMOS:

Globally, one in three students (33%) has been a victim of school bullying, and 10% have suffered cyberbullying. In countries like Spain, the United States, Mexico, Germany, and Brazil, the incidence is as high as 6 out of 10, with a similar level for cyberbullying.
Bullying is the leading cause of school absenteeism worldwide:
School bullying causes 8 million children and adolescents to miss school every month worldwide; in some cases, they never return, making bullying the leading cause of school absenteeism globally, according to Bullying Without Borders.

The United States is currently undergoing a widespread deportation process of people who are in the country illegally. This has become the most prevalent reason for bullying at the elementary, secondary, and even university levels.
Questions such as: What are you doing here if you're illegal? Why don't you go back to your country? Do you want me to report you to ICE?
These are daily occurrences that are multiplying in almost all public and private schools in the United States, from early childhood through high school.
Other reasons for bullying include poor athletic performance, low academic achievement, high academic achievement, low socioeconomic status, clothing style, and the Latin American heritage of children and adolescents.
School bullying 24/7, 365 days a year: School bullying doesn't end at school; it also arrives in the form of cyberbullying through social media, especially the "Toxic Four": Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and WhatsApp, which maintain an implacable silence regarding complaints and reports.

Why is bullying still on the rise in the United States?

Influencers and their lifestyles, published on social media—from hairstyles to clothing—contribute to school bullying because not all boys and girls consider them role models. This, once again, leads to the formation of cliques.
Viral challenges, dangerous and pointless, invade classrooms worldwide, causing injuries and deaths in chilling numbers.
There is less and less dialogue among children and adolescents of school age. Everything is about screens and immediacy.
3 - Lack of commitment from administrators and teachers:
Teaching is not just about teaching addition and reading, although those are also important. It's about creating spaces to look students in the eye, notice if something is wrong, and put a stop to it immediately.
4 - Parents of bullies who celebrate their children's violence.
The culture of parents celebrating bullying by their children remains a terrible problem.
5 - A state with little room to fight bullying.
6 - Pseudo-associations funded by large corporations that cover up bullying cases to give a false sense of calm and security.
